Hello
My name is Monique Cunningham. As a wife & a mom to 2 beautiful rescue pups, you can often find me spending my days off with my family, having brunch in Milwaukee or grabbing a nightcap in Chicago. Although I have had the honor of working in the wedding industry for nearly 8 years now, I have only recently found the courage to branch off as an independent wedding planner. I have always taken my role very seriously, but was always limited by the work I could do by being tied to a specific venue. Now, I finally have the freedom to take on any task, become an extension of my couples and deliver on your dream wedding! It feels like my journey has only just begun...
My Story

At 22 years old, I opened a boutique fitness studio in the Historic Third Ward of Milwaukee.

Successfully assisted clients aged 15-85 in achieving their health & wellness goals
After 3 years in business, my passion for preventative health never faltered, however, my passions for design & producing successful events sparked. For 2 years, I balanced a 6-day work week providing personal training services at my studio followed by Friday & Saturday nights coordinating events for 12+ hours.
2019
A few months following our wedding and the bittersweet closing of my studio, I landed a role at the Milwaukee Public Market. In the midst of 2020, I lead a team to execute virtual events for the 1st time ever & exponentially grew their social media following to 43.3K followers (up from 17K on Instagram).
Although I was still planning & executing public cooking classes & private events, I missed working closely with couples on their big day!
2022
The Pabst Theater Group created a position for me after their purchase of a new venue, The Fitzgerald. I immediately became the liaison between couples, vendors & department heads, keeping an open line of communication with all parties during a complete renovation & remodel. My goal was to make certain that all previous couples remained confident in the transition leading up to their wedding day, while maintaining all expectations, if not transcending beyond any original vision they might have had from their initial walk through!
Present
From intimate elopements on the stage of The Pabst Theater to large 300-person wedding receptions at Turner Hall Ballroom, I have helped couples navigate through the planning process and have personally coordinated & executed over 75 weddings and private events.
Details, no matter how big or small, are bound to slip through the cracks. Having a planner on-site can truly make all the difference! My objective is to keep all your vendors on the same page, stay ahead of schedule & anticipate any changes in real time. Your time is valuable & you deserve to enjoy every - single - moment.
Let’s save you the stress & leave all the coordination to me!
